First United Church, East Hastings Street, Vancouver
Chesterman Properties is pleased to be working as the development manager for First United Church in the creation of a new vision for their property at 320 East Hastings Street in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
We have supported First United in its creation of a detailed vision and a design for a new kind of community in the heart of Vancouver’s original neighbourhood. The Downtown Eastside community is currently dealing with many challenges. First United is seeking to contribute a solution to these challenges and to supporting a vibrant and dynamic area of Downtown Vancouver.
The First United project will create opportunities for people from across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland to meet and connect as individuals. In more concrete terms, the project will provide a full continuum of supportive and affordable housing, integrated fully with a comprehensive range of support services.
